22,025 PointsUsing Google for domain registration, email and website hosting
Do you think I should use Google for all these things instead of a mix of vendors?
Currently I have sites using different vendors such as mediatemple.com/namecheap.com(hosting/email) and enomcentral.com(domains) etc.
However now that there is Google Domains ($12/yr), Google for Work ($5/mo) and Google Cloud Platform (payperuse) I feel like it might be smart to use use Google for everything you might need in creating a new business app/site.
I have found it a good practice to use a cloud hosting service because they are affordable (digitalocean.com $5/mo), totally customizable and get you used to managing a server via the CLI - which seems to be the future instead of using cPanel or Plesk hosting control panels.
Any thoughts on this?

14,985 PointsGo with google if you only have 1 domain with minimal usage and value your time.
Cpanel and Plesk are premium features in addition to CLI access, you are not forced to use them.
Learning how to manage a website is overrated especially if you only want to set up a personal website. Once you set it up, it is unlikely that you would touch it again after that.
If you really want to save money on a nonessential personal site, there are some shared hosting services that offer web hosting for $20-$30/year.

22,025 Points@haunguyen thx for the reply but not really sure where you see that this question was related to a 'nonessential personal website'. My question relates to anybody building an app/spa/site etc. that has had experience using these google web services together and if they saw any benefit. I'm trying domains.google/gae/gcloud on this project so we will see how it goes.
