In the WordPress Customizer API Course. Lesson: WP_Customizer_image bug fix.
Zac helps fix a bug that was prevalent with WP 3.8.

Shows that has of version 4.1 the bug has been fixed.
(Just thought I'd throw this up on the forum incase anyone asked themselves this question, hope this is a relevant forum post)

Since WordPress version 4.1 has been updated to use the media library. Previously-uploaded images are no longer shown as a result which corrects the bug stated in this video. You no longer need to add the line require_once('inc/wp-customize-image-reloaded.php');
or the wp-customize-image-reloaded.php
file.
Don't forget to change the control call of My_Customize_Image_Reloaded_Control
back to WP_Customize_Image_Control
