Python Python Basics Functions and Looping Raise an Exception

ValueError

my code will not work. it sais EOF. i cant figure out whatt is wrong.

suggestinator.py
def suggest(product_idea):
    return product_idea + "inator"
product = input("this product name is too short ")
if product <3:
    raise ValueError("Are you sure you don't get it?")

1 Answer

You'll want to raise the ValueError inside the function. Also, you want to check that the length of product_idea is less than 3, using the len() function.

I hope that helps!
