var width = '190px'; var numOfDivs = 10; var totalWidth = IntParse(width); totalWidth *= numOfDivs;

why that is not working?

var width = '190px'; var numOfDivs = 10;

var totalWidth = IntParse(width); totalWidth *= numOfDivs;

Your very close, the function is parseInt() not intParse(). and all you need to do is multiply them in one variable. remove the *=, it should look like

var totalWidth = parseInt(a) * b;
