Hey there, right now the code is doing this:

answer is set equal to prompt('What is the best programming language?'), and then the if else statement is checking to see if answer is equal to JavaScript, which is false because right now answer = prompt('What is the best programming language?'). The input needs to be stored inside answer, and then the if else statement needs to check to see if answer is equal to JavaScript.

var answer = '';

prompt('What is the best programming language?');
if (answer === 'JavaScript') {
  alert('You are correct');
}
