Hey everyone! I was just wondering if people have any interest in learning Visual Basic (VBA). I would love to see treehouse adopt a VBA course and was hoping to see if there were others who felt similarly. Thanks for any feedback.

39,021 PointsThe language sucks - don't get me wrong. But VBA is very useful for working with Microsoft Office files, and it comes with the suite.

11,879 Pointsi agree with Gavin but like too see a C or C++ course to give a good grounding in C before C#

28,770 PointsC before C# isn't necessary, any more than C is required before php or javascript. It's just an entirely different beast.
Just like you wouldn't need to learn assembly before learning C.
I'd love to see courses on all of that, but learning C before any descendants or derivatives isn't required the way, say, you'd need to learn HTML or CSS before employing javascript to any effect.

11,879 PointsI see your point - and agree and i suppose to a certain point agree but i think even if it is just nod of the other C languages is better than this c++ and that is it?
Matthew Proudman
11,879 Pointsyes i suppose - but i would probably use the py library.

39,021 PointsYep. Completely agree. I've taught myself a bit through googling, copy/pasting, etc., but it would be AWESOME if Treehouse (or anywhere else!) had a course or two, so I could really get a handle on it.
