We didn't call compareTo()...

How come the code for 'compareTo()' worked if we didn't call it? I'm confused...

Please help.

That is the power, and sort of the point of objects. We've defined a behavior with compareTo() for how our object should act and it will act that way whether we call it, or code somebody else has written calls it.
