Hey everybody,
So I am a little confused as to where to start. I see that Treehouse really try to promote their web design track course however i cna also see that they have HTML and CSS Basic courses.
Can anyone (preferably someone with a little experience) shed some light as to what they think I should do?

16,594 Pointshi, i'm not too far into the web development course but I thought about switching over to design. what I noticed was that a lot of the courses seem to overlap. so even though I started development, if I switched to design...it looks like I would still be taking the same courses at this point. so I think if you start either one...they stay the same for a while.

1,765 PointsI'm a new Treehouse user. I have some experience in programming HTML and CSS, but that was from 2000's. I have decided to take the Web Design Track while I believe that HTML and CSS are the first languages to learn to design websites effectively.
Over the years, CSS has improved and simplified the need to program for HTML websites. While I know Treehouse offers many courses in their library, I have choosen to follow the Web Deisgn track, and then, I will know the fundamentals of web design to code in many other languages and learn some more about design, photoshop, WordPress and some more. Once there, I guess everything should be easier. I guess.
Don't give up, Fabrice. You're about to learn a lot! Just step in with any first course or track. You'll see more clearer what are your interests from there...

16,594 Pointsso if the question is track or individual course...I chose track. because, i'm trusting that the tracks, will lead me in an ordered sequence to learn. because..i know nothing about this stuff. and that is why I am here . let's have fun learning!!!

1,217 PointsI see what you mean, however the tracks get into things very quickly rather than explaining different topics separately just like the courses in the library do.
I have only just started a couple days ago on the track and am completely new to all of this so you must understand that all this stuff can be a little overwhelming! Especially when I try to dig deeper !
From what i can see I just have to be persistent and have lots of patience!

1,765 PointsI have decided to mix both a track and courses from library today. If you complete a course that is on you Track, you will see you course as completed in your Track. You won't have to complete the courses of your Track in the order shown. But anyway, you will have to complete more complicated courses someday. Filter the courses in the library by difficulty. That may be the best for now. Do not give up!

1,217 PointsWhat i mean is when you enter the library, you can find all the HTML and CSS tutorials (these are not tracks). So my question is weather one should start from library rather than from a track
