So after a lot of search I nailed down to the perfect web design company to apply for in my area and before talking of an interview or anything my reply was "What are your wage expectations?".
Seemed a little bit of an odd question straight after submitting a Covering Letter & CV but what do you think? Does that sound promising for me?, I replied with a fair deal by the way.

I wouldn't be thrown off by this, but keep it in mind if you are asked for an interview. Remember that an interview is as much as you discovering their culture and your fit as much as it is them sussing out your fit and skills for their team. If you researched typical salary levels for your city/state/province for the job title and gave a range, I would be confident in your response.

30,494 PointsIt's directly to the designer/developer in a very small team of 5 people. I know that anything under ÂŁ22,000 around my area seems to be the junior salary, I said that I'm more than happy to drop a few ÂŁK's off down to 18-21K to be able to join their company, because I'm a junior with little experience and want to get started in the web design ladder and I really like the company.

I wish you luck in your job search. If you don't mind, I'd like to ask a favor of you.
Since you are currently looking for a job, would you mind giving me some feedback on a side project I'm working on? It's a web app to help people easily create a resume website.
I promise this isn't a sales pitch. Would just like to know if you, as a job seeker, find value in a service like this. I'd appreciate any honest feedback you can provide.
Here's the site: Resamazing.com
If you'd rather not provide any feedback, that's ok too.
Thanks for your time! :)

30,494 PointsLooks pretty damn good to me dude! Got everything going on it's compressed you've included Normalize.css, the code looks simple and easy to read and the site itself is simple and easy on the eyes.
Honestly myself as a jobseeker in the web design field this site would be of no use to me because I have to be able to prove that I can web design through making my own portfolio with my own made work inside it. But for other portfolio's maybe such as a photographer or another profession outside the web design field I think it would work great!

Currently, the landing page doesn't show up what a template looks like. So if there's no portfolio section you can cross off any artist t/ designer types because that's the single most important feature.
It could work instead for anyone outside of the field.
