-webkit prefix no longer necessary for Safari 10?

I've been going through all these lessons using Safari rather than Chrome, and it looks like the flexbox properties used in this video are working just fine without the -webkit prefix. Any reasons why I should still use the prefix. I'm guessing mainly in consideration of people who have not (or cannot) update Safari?

Hi Jeff,

That is correct you want to include as many browser prefixes as necessary depending on how many users you are trying to reach. The non prefixed version of the property should only really be included once the property has been "standardized" across all broswers.

http://caniuse.com/ will let you know which css properties are compatible with each browser.

Thanks, Daniel! I figured that was the answer, but wanted to be sure so I can keep my code as streamlined as possible.
