iOS Object-Oriented Swift Inheritance What is Inheritance?

We've decided that we need to have round buttons in our user interface.

We've decided that we need to have round buttons in our user interface. So write a subclass named RoundButton which inherits from Button.

Button.swift
class RoundButton {
  var width: Double
  var height: Double

  init(width:Double, height:Double){
    self.width = width
    self.height = height
  }
}

Hey Millie J,

To create a subclass from another class you write a semi colon and then the name of the class you are subclassing after the subclasses name.

class Button {
  var width: Double
  var height: Double

  init(width:Double, height:Double){
    self.width = width
    self.height = height
  }
}

/* We want to create a subclass of Button
called RoundButton */

class RoundButton: Button {

}

Good Luck!

Thanks a lot!
