iOS Object-Oriented Swift Properties Getter and Setter Methods

What am I doing wrong?

this looks like it should be correct.

Temperature.swift
class Temperature {
    var celsius: Float = 0.0
    var fahrenheit: Float {
      get {
          return (celsius * 1.8) + 32.0
      }
      set {
        celsius = ((fahrenheit - 32.0) % 1.8)
      }
    }
}

You're forgetting to use the special keyword newValue in your setter method.

Replacing fahrenheit with newValue should work.

set {
    celsius = (newValue - 32) / 1.8
}

But why does this work? How does it know that the newValue is fahrenheit? Easy! In the getter method, you return the value of fahrenheit, and the setter method looks to that returned value for the newValue.

Hope that helps!

Dang I completely overlooked that, thanks for you help.

Are you seeing errors or just incorrect values? If it's just values, I believe you are looking for

set {
   celsius = ((fahrenheit - 32.0) / 1.8)
}

in the setter.

it says that it isn't assigning the correct value.
