this looks like it should be correct.
class Temperature {
var celsius: Float = 0.0
var fahrenheit: Float {
get {
return (celsius * 1.8) + 32.0
}
set {
celsius = ((fahrenheit - 32.0) % 1.8)
}
}
}

11,940 PointsYou're forgetting to use the special keyword newValue
in your setter method.
Replacing fahrenheit
with newValue
should work.
set {
celsius = (newValue - 32) / 1.8
}
But why does this work? How does it know that the newValue
is fahrenheit
? Easy! In the getter method, you return the value of fahrenheit
, and the setter method looks to that returned value for the newValue
.
Hope that helps!

7,860 PointsAre you seeing errors or just incorrect values? If it's just values, I believe you are looking for
set {
celsius = ((fahrenheit - 32.0) / 1.8)
}
in the setter.
