You put the script code in the wrong file.

The script tag you added in task 1 loads in code from the shout.js file. That's the only change you will make to index.html. The task 2 code goes in shout.js, click on that tab to work in that file.

The tabs are just above the code edit area, and have a little "paper" symbol followed by the file name.
