The instructions say "create a new, empty object literal", but that one's certainly not empty.

Then they say "and assign it to the variable paris", but there's no assignment operator ("=").

I'll bet you can do it now without an explicit spoiler.

The object doesn't have to contain anything, you're just missing the equals sign

var paris = {};
