What am I doing wrong?

I used the firs color stop steelblue and the second color stop to darkslateblue so why is this not correct?

style.css
/* Complete the challenge by writing CSS below */
.main-header {
    background-image: linear-gradient(to top, blue, steelblue, pink, darkslateblue);
}
index.html
<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
  <head>
    <title>Lake Tahoe</title>
    <link rel="stylesheet" href="page.css">
    <link rel="stylesheet" href="style.css">
  </head>
  <body>
    <header id="top" class="main-header">
      <span class="title">Journey Through the Sierra Nevada Mountains</span>
      <h1 class="main-heading">Lake Tahoe, California</h1>
    </header>

        <div class="primary-content">
            <p class="intro">
                Lake Tahoe is one of the most breathtaking attractions located in California. It's home to a number of ski resorts, summer outdoor recreation, and tourist attractions. Snow and skiing are a significant part of the area's reputation.
            </p>
            <a class="callout" href="#more">Find out more</a>
        </div><!-- End .primary-content -->
  </body>
</html>

Hi there! It looks like you are close with your CSS, and you have added the class of main-header correctly, as well as adding the background-image and linear-gradient. Great job! Inside your (), however, you need to only designate two colors, like this:

.main-header {
  background-image: linear-gradient(to top, steelblue, darkslateblue);
}

I hope that helps!

Hello! Thanks for the answer! I got to using 4 colors after i used just the two colors in the task. This was one of my many attempts. In the end I think there is a bug because it only worked after a change the direction value I had to "to top" required by the task 4.

It looks like you have four color stops here, and the first one is just ordinary "blue":

.main-header {
    background-image: linear-gradient(to top, blue, steelblue, pink, darkslateblue);
}

If you get rid of "blue" and "pink" (the ones not asked for by the instructions) you'll pass task 3.

It also looks like you have part of task 4 here, but to pass that you'll also need to add a percentage value.
