What am I doing wrong?

For some reason when I try to edit the background color as orange and the text in it as white it doesn't let me do it. The color of my background resets to white if I try to add the text color into it. How can I get the background color as orange and the text in it as white?

style.css
/* Complete the challenge by writing CSS below */
body {
text-align: center
}
p {
  color: lightslategrey
}
header {

 text: white

Hey Karar,

First off your CSS may be breaking because you need semi-colons after each property you style. Second, the propertry for text color is just color. So your code should look like this:

body {
  text-align: center;
}
p {
  color: lightslategrey;
}
header {
    background-color: orange;
    color: white;
}

Hope this helps,

Dylan

Thanks a ton!
