Hi Thomas, It's asking you to get the data typed into the input element and send it the log. To do this, you need to first use the $render method of the ngModelCtrl from within the link function.

ngModelCtrl.$render = function() {
  console.log(ngModelCtrl.$viewValue);
};

I'm confused. Why can't you just do something like console.log(myController.$scope.user.name)?
