The brackets enclosed the array, but what do they mean? I'm trying not to get them cofused with the parentheses. Thanks in advance

3,471 Pointsthe brackets [] denote the array. they let you tell the computer that you are referring to an array. that is their purpose. () are usually used for strings and {} are usually used for hashes. you will remember the difference as you code more because they are not interchangeable and will become prolific friends in debugging error messages.
