Hello! I am a fairly new student with Team Treehouse, I started about 2 months ago and I love it! I am specifically focused on learning anything and everything related to mobile development. I desire to develop apps for any platforms available be it Android, iPhone and eventually Windows phones and tablets. I am starting with iPhone first, but I have access to both Mac and PC so I plan on trying to learn both equally.
All of the above is to introduce my question. What would you all feel are the requirements needed to be able to start applying for an entry level position within the mobile development community? For example, do employers require you to have created several fully functional and successfully submitted apps?

Treehouse TeacherYes! That is absolutely the best thing you can do. Ideally you want to give potential employers links to apps you have published, and links to code you have created or contributed to on GitHub. If you have something that's public and tangible for them to use, that let's them know somewhat what you're capable of creating. The next step is to show them how you go about creating apps, so be ready to explain how you think about solving problems. Good luck, and drop us some links in here with apps you've created (or that you create in the future)!

5,495 PointsWonderful advice, thank you! I will get a GitHub account up and running and will definitely post links to my work whenever I finish a project... :)
