What did he do at 2:57?

So I'm assuming he hit CTRL X to save the file.. when I do that this pops up.. "-- ^X mode (^]^D^E^F^I^K^L^N^O^Ps^U^V^Y)" and it won't let me proceed so I am literally stuck on this screen.. ugh.

By default Terminal in OS X uses a different text editor (called Vim) than the one used in the video. The default text editor used in the video is called Nano and has different commands for saving/exiting. If you want to change the default text editor used by Git to Nano, use this command:

$ git config --global core.editor "nano"

To save the file use ctrl + O to exit ctrl + X but just this resource out with help out a bit more and if your interested learning more about nano this is a good place to start. https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Nano/Basics_Guide
