what did i do wrong?

SELECT SalesRep.firstName, SalesRep.lastName, Sale.saleAmount FROM Sale LEFT OUTER JOIN SaleSRep ON SalesRep.salesRepID = SalesRep.salesRepID;

its saying you're missing the INNER keyword

Since you didn't provide a link to the challenge this is a bit of a guess, but based on the message you got I imagine that the requirements are best satisfied by an INNER JOIN rather than an OUTER one.

Also, I notice that both terms in the ON expression are the same, but I would expect one of them should be a column from the other table.
