You use the print command to output something to the screen. In the tasks, they may ask you to print something, but they just want you to use it correctly - there won't be any actual output to the screen in the tasks. You can always check your work by copying the code you write for the tasks into workspaces. Try something like this:

string1 = "my name here"
print(string1)
