What does this warning mean?

This note comes up when I preview what I am putting in the code challenge:

redefinition of 'addTwo' as different kind of symbol float addTwo(float, float); ^ note: previous definition is here float addTwo = 1; ^ 4 errors generated.

Here is what I typed in:

float addTwo = 1; float addTwo = 1; printf("%f %f\n", addTwo);

return 0;

float addTwo(float, float);

I can't figure out whats wrong.

you have not implemented the actual function. all the challenge asks you to do is implement the function

here is a shell of what your function should look like:

returnType functionName(dataType parameterOne, dataType parameterTwo) {

return something;

}

the challenge tells you what the function should be named, the data types and how many arguments it should have, and what it should return.

you dont need anything else in your challenge editor but the function implementation so remove everything you had and just add the implementation of the function.
