what happens when he hit rebuild the project, what does that do ?

Hi. Rebuild does 2 things: clean (= remove the content of the build folders) and build the project again. It is helpful in situations like the one shown in the video, for example: when you know some resource exists but it can't be found (the resource shows up in red).
