CSS CSS Basics (2014) Getting Started with CSS Importing Style Sheets with @import

What if I copied and pasted everything inside the import style sheet into my CSS file? Would that enhance load times?

Instead of importing with @import and slowing the web directory down, would it be beneficial to just copy and paste everything that is inside the import file to your CSS style sheet?

Hi Kevin,

I couldn't say for sure, but I know that linked style sheets can be loaded in parallel. @import has to be loaded 'distinctly', I believe. (i.e. the external style sheet is loaded, then the @import stylesheet.)
