What is a memory footprint? How fast can machine code run?

I thought that the smaller the memory footprint the quicker the machine code runs.

1 Answer

Hey Savannah,

Memory footprint basically means the amount of memory a program takes up when it is being executed, and machine code runs incredibly quickly, since it is the lowest level programming language.

So you are definitely correct in thinking it has a smaller memory footprint and it does run quickly.

If the quiz is saying that you are incorrect, you may not have entered the correct word it is looking for.
