What is the problem in my code? Please advice

When I tried to get output, it shows me an Error. Please help in finding out my mistake in the code.

IO.java
// I have imported java.io.Console for you. It is a variable called console.

String firstName = "Schwartz";
console.readLine("My Name is %s");
String lastName = "Prince";
console.readLine("My Last name is");
console.printf("First name : %s\n ", firstName);

Hi Schwartz,

You want to use the console.readLine to gather user input and assign that directly into the String called firstName. The same for lastName.

Then, output the string required - it wants "First name:" (not "My first name").

Have a look at this:

String firstName = console.readLine("What is your first name?: ");
String lastName = console.readLine("What is your last name?: ");
console.printf("First name: %s", firstName);

Make sense? Now complete the rest and let me know how you got on ...

Steve.

Did you get through the challenge? :+1:
