What is the purpose of list?

Could someone explain in much more detail why he used 'list' on line 28 with len(list(secret_word))?

Hi Ezekiel,

I'm not sure myself. I think what you're asking is why not keep it len(secret_word)?

Hi Kenneth,

Initially you had len(secret_word) but then around 5:45 you mentioned that we should probably change it to len(list(secret_word)). Won't the 2 produce the same result assuming secret_word is a string?

Yeah, len(list(word)) and len(word) would get the same result. I'm not really sure why I changed it. Probably something that made sense during writing but that got lost during editing.
