What is this? Choreographer﹕ Skipped 147 frames! The application may be doing too much work on its main thread

Running an app on the emulator is SLOW. I get this error in the logcat.

Hi Robert,

Running apps in the standard emulator can be very slow, yes. There are other alternatives which Treehouse cover off in some of the courses; e.g. Genymotion.

As for the error, I wouldn't worry about it. The emulator is pretending to be a phone and it produces errors and warnings accordingly. the errors that you are concerned with will be tagged with your app name.
