Hey Amy,

Semicolons are used to signify the end of a statement. The semicolon after firstName stops the variable assignment there, so right now your msg variable is just set to "Amy". Remove every semicolon on this line except for the final one after role.

After that, make sure there's a plus sign between your first empty string and the lastName variable.

Finally, take a look at the string that adds in the colon and pay attention to spacing. As written currently the message will look like "Tomey:developer". You want it to be "Tomey: developer".
