4,650 PointsWhat is wrong with my code? I keep getting an error in my if let result line.
I cant figure this out. Why was there an extra return with a "" in it? Why is it not working? Its almost exactly like the example in the video
func search(#name: String) -> String? {
let names = ["Doc","Grumpy","Happy","Sleepy","Bashful","Sneezy","Dopey"]
for n in names {
if n == name {
return n
}
}
return nil
}
if let result = search("Doc") {
println("Found")
}

13,515 PointsYou are just missing the parameter "name" when calling the search function.
func search(#name: String) -> String? {
let names = ["Doc","Grumpy","Happy","Sleepy","Bashful","Sneezy","Dopey"]
for n in names {
if n == name {
return n
}
}
return nil
}
if let result = search(name: "Doc") {
println("Found")
}

4,650 PointsThanks. That worked. But I still dont understand why I need the name parameter when in the video example he didnt even include the aptnumber parameter. He only typed in the number.
