What's a great track/course to begin after taking the java track? Besides the android development track. Say you're a beginner with no prior programming experience(such as myself), and your first track on treehouse is the java track, once you complete the java track, what should you learn next? What are some cool tracks I can explore and learn after learning java? And why? What would be the benefit? Cuz I want to expand my horizon rather than just learning one track(obviously). Please give me advice, thank you!!

20,763 PointsHello Lugman,
I started out on the html basic, went to java, then to JavaScript, and now I'm in the android track. In hindsight, I wish I'd went straight to android as it really allows me to do something with my code, as it extends all my java knowledge. I have android devices that it feels rewarding to put apps on. It really depends on what you want to do, but if you're just looking to learn I'd dive deeper into java with the android track before learning something completely new: it'll give you more of a sense about how computer programming languages work and make the next one easier to learn. When I flip flopped between Web development and java I feel it slowed me down.
Have fun! P.s. if I answered your question really well, a best answer would give me some good ol' points.

3,016 PointsThank you so much this really helped!! Thanks for taking your time to reply, I needed this. I think I've made up my mind: I will start with the java track then head over to the android development track! And the java track says that no prior programming skills is required to begin this track so this'll be good especially for me haha. And I sort of get what you mean when you say you flip flopped between wd and java, slowing you down. That's something that I was also sort of cautious about before starting, so I'm glad you addressed it. Sure thing I'll give you best answer :)
