What's the point of targeting elements that don't exist in the source code?

I don't understand the practicality of that.

Terrence,

Generally that is not good practice and if you do not have an element in your code, then you should not be using it. With that said, there are sometimes situations where you would have certain code in your CSS file but may not notice it being used in the HTML document (example: jQuery).

Ok thanks!
