JavaScript jQuery Basics Working with jQuery Collections Adding/Removing Classes

What's wrong with my code?

I don't understand why this won't work

index.html
<!DOCTYPE html>
<html lang="en">
<head>
    <title>Document</title>
    <link rel="stylesheet" href="style.css">
</head>
<body>
    <button type="submit" class="submit-btn">Submit If You Can</button>

    <script
    src="jquery-3.2.1.min.js"></script>
    <script src="app.js"></script>
</body>
</html>
app.js
const $submit = $('.submit-btn');
$submit.attr("disabled","true");

Hi there, Ga In Shin ! You're doing great, but the "disabled" attribute should be set to the boolean value true not the string "true". Removing the quotation marks from around the true will cause this to pass the first step.

Hope this helps! :sparkles:
