Android Build a Simple Android App (2014) Improving Our Code Dynamically Changing the Background Color

When i click on Build>Clean Project it gives me an error Failed to complete Gradle execution.

Cause: A fatal exception has occurred. Program will exit. The app runs on the phone but when i tap Show Another Fun Fact the backgroid stays green. Here is FunFactsActivity.java : package com.example.wili.funfacts;

I'm pretty sure the fact that you have your TextViews and RelativeLayout set to final, whenyou first declared the class, might have something to do with your error.

Just remove the final keyword when you declare the RelativeLayout and the TextView. When you declare final on something, you're saying that it is unchangeable beyond that point. So, when you try and update that is why you get an error.
