When should we expect some courses with WatchKit and Swift classes in general?

I don't mean to be pushy, but I like to be studying something everyday, and it's been a while since you guys have posted any new material on swift.

WatchKit ;) I honestly don't want to put a date on that. It'll take some time to figure out the limitations of the device and what we can and can't do. It's also content that would serve a small segment of our students (for now) since you need both an iPhone 6 and up along with an Watch to run device tests.

Regarding regular Swift content we've got a fair bit of content in the pipeline. Amit just released Swift Structs and Enums and is working on object oriented swift. I'm releasing a simple playlist browsing app followed by enhancements to the weather app.

The reason it's taking a bit of time to release Swift content is because we're working on Objective-C content as well. Objective-C isn't going anywhere for a while so we need to split time between the two.

Regarding the weather app, is there a way you could work in dealing with extensions to the today view? I'd like more experience working with app groups and NSUserDefaults in swift.

Hmm interesting. We want to cover some foundational topics in our courses before moving on to iOS 8 specific stuff. Perhaps we can cover extensions in a workshop. Let me mull this over :D

7 months later and I am wondering the same. It would be great to learn some foundational topics, after taking the iOS course I still do not know how to create a simple note app to save/edit data :(

I've intentionally held off on those courses because Apple had announced that a native SDK for the watch was coming soon. They released watchOS last week which means that now that we have a stable release we can start to teach content without it changing every couple months. We'll try and have the first series of watch courses out very soon (couple weeks at most)
