CSS

When using a CSS selector, how do I know if I should use a # or no # ?

CSS selectors: sometimes I see # before, like #wrapper, like {...} sometimes no #, like nav {...} and I think I saw some starting with a dot

Is there something I should know about this? :)

{#} it's destinated to ID, and {.} to CLASS.

Example:

< div id="wrapper" > = #wrapper

< div class="wrapper" > = .wrapper

Check out the docs on CSS selectors: http://www.w3.org/TR/CSS2/selector.html 5.8 - classes and 5.9 - IDs specificially.

got it!
