The new versions for Ruby and Rails have been out for a few months now. I don't want to be that person, but since we are paying for the content when will it actually be updated? As it stands, people attempting to follow the Ruby on Rails material are probably using the latest version of everything which breaks the majority of the Treebook tutorial. Devise specifically has been a royal pain with Rails 4.

4,312 PointsIt's not realistic to assume people will be using an older version of the software, especially considering most of your users are new to programming and might not understand the point of learning deprecated syntax or software versioning.

39,199 PointsMost books handle this by mentioning what version of the software it was written for. I'd suggest Treehouse do that same (as I don't work for Treehouse). That's my advice for Treehouse.
