Hey Kirk,

You used string interpolation correctly, but just messed up a little on the objective's execution!

The greeting constant should hold the interpolated value, "Hi there, Kirk". It looks like you did too much and added some extra text from the instructions. Try this:

let name = "Kirk"
let greeting = "Hi there, \(name)"

This way greeting will hold, "Hi there, Kirk."
