Where am I making a mistake with console printf code?

...java String firstName = console.readLine("Dan"); String lastName = console.readLine("Phantom"); console.printf("First Name:%s"); ....

IO.java
// I have imported java.io.Console for you. It is a variable called console.
String firstName = console.readLine("Dan");
String lastName = console.readLine("Phantom");
console.printf("First Name:%s");

Hi there! In your console.printf you have a %s which tells Java that you want to insert the value of the variable here. But you have two variables. You must tell it which variable's value you want to insert there. Here's an example:

String student = "Alana";
String studentTwo = "Jennifer";
console.printf("Hi there, %s", student);

This would print out "Hi there, Alana", because we told it to use the value for the variable student.

Hope this helps! :sparkles:
