Python Python Basics (2015) Python Data Types String concatenation

Where do the extra spaces go when using a plus sign?

My error message says that I need more spaces when using a plus sign!

strings.py
name = 'Raj'
str1 = 'Treehouse loves'
str2 = name
subject = str1 + str2

You are close!

The challenge didn't ask you to concatenate strings. Concatenating strings "glue" together string, The challenge was expecting you to use the format function.

Try to figure out how to switch from concatenating to using the format function :wink:
