14,268 PointsA Small Orange has always been fantastic (recommend by Treehouse back when I started). Fair pricing, unlimited email accounts, live chat for support without a long wait (if any wait).

2,435 PointsI'm in UK. What about their domain? Fo they need to create account e.g in godaddy and buy it? A.d then the hosting should be theirs too?
Jeff Lemay
14,268 PointsThis is all up to you. It's obviously easier to have the domain registered and hosted with the same company, but it's also very easy to point a domain registered at GoDaddy to a site hosted at A Small Orange (for example).
I prefer to have the client register the domain themselves, that way they always hold the rights. I like to control the hosting plans though and then charge the client (maybe a little extra on top of the flat monthly fee, for support and such).

2,435 PointsThough, if we think in terms of 100 clients. It would be better if you would just whos them once or twice and gaved them all fro their website to have thier own hosting and domain no? i mean if you have 100 clients and their in your hosting? and ur hositng goes down, everyone goes on you . If they buy themself everything, and you just give it all for them , woudnt be that better? Im just about to build my first site for a friend but i wont pay for the domain name as for the hosting i believe. I probably could fit it in with my free hosting , but later one, it would be just better if he has it all no? but talking generaly about customers
Jeff Lemay
14,268 PointsI see what you're saying, but there are pros and cons to both. Let's take your example and say you have all your clients host their own sites...
The client is still going to blame you if something goes wrong, whether you're in control or not
Konrad Pilch
2,435 PointsTrue, but everything changes in technology, so when you developed the , lets say well, one website per week, thats 35 customers per 6 months, technology moves fast that means that their sites could be break so you still would get balmed right? i mean , later one, if anything happends, its not your fault as the code has changed, it just need an upgrade like others no?
But i believe so with pros and cons.
Jeff Lemay
14,268 PointsI'm not saying anything would actually be your fault, just saying that the client will blame the developer. It's really up to you how you handle this, just be sure to have clear documentation in your contracts that says what you are responsible for.
Konrad Pilch
2,435 PointsAha so in case the technology changes, im not responsibile for the repair of it unless ... basicaly have everything covered in the contract right? for the future and in the present .
Thank you :)
