Where to host mock websites for my portfolio

I've recently built my own portfolio website but I've had no examples of work to put online. So, I've built one or two web pages in hope of getting some work.

But I'm stuck on where is best to upload them. I don't just want to have screen shots of my webpages I want visitors to be able to use the pages.

Any advice?

Thanks

You will need to find a server to host your site, I used https://webhostingforstudents.com/ but many exist if you search for 'web hosting services'. It's worth the startup costs if you plan to use it to secure work for yourself. See this video for assistance:

I already have my site hosted, it's online now. But if I've built a 4 page website for a "fake" company to showcase my skills can I host it on my server as well?

The plan for my own portfolio is to link to subdomain pages for each mock site I'm building, so they are still located on my portfolio site. This is a good option if your hosting allows (mine allows unlimited subdomains), as it keeps visitors on your site, and allows you to maintain a large amount of control over how each site you've developed is set up.

Amber, may I ask who does your web hosting?

Yes- just place the sites you create in their own directory. I've created a placeholder site for myself (www.adamsgreg.net) if it's helpful to see.
