Which CMS is best?

Which CMS is best in regards of security, customization and functionality? Which CMS to choose from Wordpress, Drupal and Joomla and why? Does Team Treehouse plan to teach other CMS besides wordpress?

Depends you want, Wordpress it's popular. If you want do something general, like a portal, forum whith many diferent section i recomand Joomla, i used in past. But it not so easy like wordpress for edit. If you want a shop online you can use wordpress or joomla, but i think the best and simple solition it's opencart, it's easy to edit it, but if you want something good i recomment Magento. And finally if you prefer just a forum site, the best sollution it's vBulletin but it's the expensive version. Now on treand are template for wordpress, if you can do perfect template for wordpress you can earn extra cash.

That's a big question. I won't name any names but there are many which are great. A direct answer to your question would be, none. No CMS is best.

I think it's important to look for a community of users of any CMS where you feel comfortably introducing yourself and asking questions. You'll know it's a good place to be once you are there. You might look at "plugins" or "add-ons" or "modules" or "so forth" that the various systems provide as a means to determine how lively the community is surrounding it. Look at the publication dates for releases. You'll also get a feel for the breadth of coverage each CMS provides in terms of meeting the needs of a modern man such as your self.

In your exploration: Security can be addressed, customization can be done, and functionality can be added as you need. This is true for most modern CMS systems.

Go with WordPress. It's the biggest and thus best supported. Drupal is a difficult one to learn and Joomla can be a little restrictive. There's a tonne of other CMS both open source and paid but, WordPress will always cover all bases.

I use cushycms for my clients. No big projects yet tho but this far cushy has worked great.

Is it open source, What are it's features and strong points which you hace liked. In which language is it written?

Its a very lightweight cms that you control from their website. You add a class of cushycms to your divs (or h1 or whatever else semantic element you use) like html<div class="cushycms">Edit me plx</div> or <h1 class="cushycms"> and give them access through your control panel, it's free but for a fee you can customize it. Check out www.cushycms.com they explain it alot better. It's really simple when working with simple clients i think :) gl mate and i hope this was for some use to you. (i tried to do some fancy markup that i have seen around this forum but i think i've failed :( how do you get the black background and syntax highlighted?)
