while counter < 7 { counter++ }

I have this so far: while counter < 7 { counter++ } how do i get the sum of the array?

while.swift
let numbers = [2,8,1,16,4,3,9]
var sum = 0
var counter = 0
// Enter your code below
while counter < 7 {
 counter++
}

You need to use numbers.count instead of 7 in the condition, and you need to add numbers[counter] to sum and store that value back in sum in the while loop before count++.

while counter < 7 {  // REPLACE 7 WITH numbers.count
// PUT LINE TO ADD numbers[counter] TO sum AND STORE THAT VALUE IN sum HERE
 counter++
}

I hope this helps!

You are doing a great job! However, instead of using the integer 7, the code challenge wants you to get the length by using the property "count". For the second task, you should increase the "sum" variable by the index "counter" of the numbers array. Try this code:

let numbers = [2,8,1,16,4,3,9]
var sum = 0
var counter = 0

// Enter your code below
while (counter < numbers.count) {
  sum += numbers[counter]
  counter++
}

Hope that helps! :dizzy:
