Why Add a context dictionary to our render()

What is the purpose of adding the context dictionary to the render?

myproject/views.py
from django.shortcuts import render

from . import forms

def lead_form(request):
    form = forms.LeadShareForm()
    return render(request, 'lead_form.html', {'form':form})

The context dictionary is used to add additional objects to the template context which is accessible within the template. In this case, it adds the form object accessible using the variable form.
