Why are you not doing this in workspaces? Nick did all of his content in workspaces and it worked our really well.

I usually visit treehouse sporadically, for that reason, it is nice to have all of the work that I have done centralized. Furthermore, I do not need a webhost or local server to execute my code. I think this video series would better benefit us by having it re-done using workspaces. Otherwise, I am enjoying the series.

That's a great question. The answer is of course this was recorded before we created Workspaces.

All of our new courses are using Workspaces where it is possible, including Ruby, Python, PHP and other HTML and CSS courses. As for "Introduction to Programming", when a course comes out that will eventually replace it, I am sure that it will be using Workspaces.

So, I can just use Workspaces for your lessons then?

Hi Jim,

JavaScript is where I have been hitting a wall for a couple of months now. While I am familiar with some of the concepts, I have yet to actually put it into my code. For us newbies, having to stop and troubleshoot the super basics really distracts from the learning and can make JavaScript all the more intimidating. I, for one, would so greatly appreciate it if the course was adjusted to explain these little things for those of us who need it...explanations for both Mac and PC. Any idea when this might be updated?

Thanks! You're a great teacher!
