Why can I loop through result of finditer only once?

I can run the for loop only once. when I run it again, I dont see any data in result.

results=re.finditer(.......)
for result in results:
   print(result.group())

this looks like a enhance loop..therefore it will only loop as much information as you have..if that makes sence

Its a normal for loop. I tried to run loop twice in python interactive console. First time I could see the data, but not when I run it again.
