2,031 PointsWhy can't I use Integer.parseInt(color) to set background color?
So I tried another approach for setting the background:
public void onClick(View v) {
String fact = mFactBook.getFact();
//update the label with our dynamic fact
factLabel.setText(fact);
String color = mColorWheel.getColor();
relativeLayout.setBackgroundColor(Integer.parseInt(color));
}
The app crashed when I try to get new fact (and change background)
Getting error:
java.lang.NumberFormatException: Invalid int: "#51b46d"
Just curious why this doesn't work? Shouldn't the Integer.parseInt convert String to int?

can't handle the # in the string, so try [Color.parseColor
](http://developer.android.com/reference/android/graphics/Color.html#parseColor(java.lang.String\)) instead.
