Why do videos on the "Web Design" Track repeat themselves?

I just went through the "How to Make a Website" Course and have now moved on to the next course, "HTML", and so far it seems to be almost identical to the first course I took.

Why is the course set up like this? Is it important that I keep going through it, even though it seems like a lot of repeats. Thanks!

I'm going through the exact same thing however as a plus, the HTML course after not only reiterates what you've learnt but also goes into more depth. I think it's worth doing, though I did skip ahead on some bits. The advanced CSS however is a little more challenging to get your head around. :S

I get the impression the start of the course is a little newer than the in depth courses that follow and also more practical and fun to keep you interested.

Like the others said, the dedicated HTML, CSS and Javascript modules are much more in depth than what you get in the how to make a website course. That course provides a good sampling of the languages and how to use them, but the modules really get into what they can do. They also provide some more explanation on how the various things you're doing in the website making course instead of just telling you how to make the site.

The "How to Make a Website" course is very generic, the HTML course is a deeper look into HTML where it may repeat, but it will go into more depth with the concepts.

I think they are both important. The more you know!

The HTML course covers tables, objects, anchors linked with IDs, forms, formatting elements like emphasize, strong, etc... All these are NOT covered in the "How To Make A Website" course. It's working going through it. I think it could have been the very first Web Design course, but I guess they wanted to make the entire Web Design lessons path more exciting by placing the interesting project (making a portfolio website) at the very beginning before teaching other basics.

was gonna ask the same question, glad i scrolled down! I've already been thru other HTML courses on other sites so i really cringe when I saw , "Now open up notepad and type in 'Hello World' ". It seems like you are going backwards.
